Nicki Minaj Has A ‘Minaj A Trois’ In Hopes Of Breaking The Internet, Is It Better Than Kim Kardashian’s Cover?

Kim Kardashian West famously “broke the Internet” back in 2014 when she graced Paper Magazine’s Art Issue. Legendary photographer Jean-Paul Goude recreated his “Champagne Incident,” a series of photographs from his 1982 book Jungle Fever, with the reality star as his new muse.

According to the publication, the story has generated 34,147,700 unique page-views, which is more than double the number of page-views Paper normally receives annually. Will their latest attempt to “Break The Internet” topple that?

For her “Minaj a Trois” cover, Nicki Minaj poses as three different versions of herself. One is seated topless wearing pasties, while a second version of the 34-year-old rapper stands behind, grabbing the first’s breasts. Lastly, and probably the most salacious, the third Minaj is between the legs of the first ready to muff dive.

“To Break The Internet you have to have a big idea and an even bigger superstar, and Nicki Minaj is certainly that superstar. The best part is we didn’t get one Nicki, we got three,” said Drew Elliott, Paper’s creative director. “Paper always looks for ways to create culture instead of just report on it. Our media company sits at the center of where internet culture becomes pop culture, and Nicki is certainly a queen of disruption. This shoot was ambitious, imagine having to do three shoots to get one image, and Nicki lead the charge. Ellen von Unwerth brought her signature playful spirit to this shoot. The internet is the ultimate newsstand.”

If you’re wondering what Kim thinks of Nicki’s cover, the reality star liked Minaj’s photo on social media and commented with three fire emojis. What do you think of Paper’s latest attempt to break the Internet? Better than Kim’s? Weigh in below.
