Even though Nick Carter is gearing up to tour with The Backstreet Boys and New Kids On The Block in the new year, Carter is also looking to revive his solo career. His sophomore album, titled “I’m Taking Off“, is set to hit stores in February 2011. The lead single from that album is “Just One Kiss“.
Kiss is a midtempo cut you’d see as a filler track on an old BSB album. It’s pretty but a little boring and dated. The music video was directed by Danny Roew, a relative newcomer, who’s worked with Esthero. Carter’s album will be released in Japan first due to an agreement. Personally, I think it’s just to test out the waters in an international market first. Having said that, this is the type of song that the Japanese will eat up. So expect to see “I’m Taking Off” to hit North American shores as well.
Carter released his first solo effort, “Now or Never” back in 2002. It debuted at #17 and was certified gold. While it wasn’t a major failure, it also wasn’t a huge success like Justin Timberlake’s first solo album. A second album was to follow up, but then the Backstreet Boys reunited and released an album. Now that a couple more years has passed, Nick is looking to achieve solo success that he’s long pined for. Check out the music video below and predict if he’ll do it this time around.

Nick Carter is as good behind Justin Timberlake. It’s a great singer and songwriter. It has a beautiful voice and a great physique that makes him loved and desired by women worldwide. If there was a huge success with “Now or Never, ” was because they gave all the chances to JT and left virtually alone to publish their work. But, so is the Music Industry. Lucky for you Nick Carter and very successful, because I’m your fan and I cheer for you too. kiss.
