I personally have never been to Niagara Falls but have seen my fair share of pictures to know how beautiful and wonderful it is. So there is no wonder why it has been a long-standing destination for couples to head to for their wedding and/or honeymoon. Now, the Niagara Tourism and Convention Corp. is ready to take the next step in up-ing their wedding tourism with the gays.
On July 25th, the NTCC is arranging to hold a group wedding ceremony in celebration of the legalization of gay marriage for New York State as well as introduce a new Rainbow Romance package available at the Niagara-USA.com reservation system. This is expected to be one of the first group ceremonies to be held under the newly passed gay marriage law in New York. The tourism board plans to have the falls lit in rainbow colors for the 24th and 25th in celebration gay marriage.
However, this isn’t just for the gays. Reaching out in this manner is going to score big bonus points for Niagara’s tourism board. This newfound idea is said to boost tourism and significantly impact the tourism economy for the state in a positive way. They’re saying “upwards of $400 million in economic benefits over a three-year period due to the passage of the marriage equality act.” That’s impressive.
So what are the details for this big group ceremony? Check them out below:
Can’t make the big party? Not to worry as you can now officially book a Rainbow Wedding at the official site which include a variety of options including marrying on the legendary Maid of the Mist or overlooking the falls in the Sky Chapel. With the help of Niagara-USA.com, no detail is to be missed.
Will you be planning your gay wedding at Niagara Falls?
