‘Dear White People’ Receives Season 3 Renewal

Prepare to stay woke. The hit comedy Dear White People has been renewed for a third season. Fittingly, the show’s narrator Giancarlo Esposito made the announcement via social media.

Based on Justin Simien’s acclaimed debut indie feature, Dear White People follows racial tensions at the predominantly white fictional Winchester College from the perspective of several African American students. Topics like social injustice, cultural bias, political correctness (or lack thereof) and sometimes misguided activism in the millennial age are tackled on the series.

Logan Browning, Brandon P. Bell, Antoinette Robertson, DeRon Horton, John Patrick Amedori, Ashley Blaine Featherson, and Marque Richardson will all return for the next season, which will have ten episodes. Production begins later this year with a 2019 premiere in sight.
