Leading up to its annual upfronts presentation, there were two NBC programs whose fates were still in limbo. While the comedy Trial & Error earned a second season renewal just a few days ago, the other on-the-bubble freshman series wasn’t so lucky. The peacock network dropped the axe on Chicago Justice after only one season.
Chicago Justice was the newest and unfortunately, the lowest-rated entry in the powerful #OneChicago franchise from Dick Wolf. The legal drama averaged a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating (Live+7) while Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med delivered a 1.9 rating. The highest among the bunch is Chicago Fire with 2.3 in the coveted demo.
With Chicago Justice‘s cancellation, it opens the door for Jon Seda to return to P.D. should the powers-that-be decide to. Did you watch the show? Will you miss it? Sound off below.
