Long before she pirouetted with an Oscar, Natalie Portman wowed audiences in her breakout role in “The Professional” at the ripe age of 13. Today, the talented actress turns the big 3-0 and has a big year ahead. Even though she’s taking some time off and not making any movies, she’ll be very busy. The former Queen Amidala is giving birth to her first baby this summer and planning a wedding with fiance Benjamin Millepied. As much fun as I had fun in my 20s, my 30s are even better. I’ve maintained for a long time, that your 30s are just your 20s but with money.
Since Portman is celebrating a milestone birthday today, I thought it’d be the perfect time to take a trip down Portman filmography memory lane. During her film career, she’s worked in independent films, character-driven movies and big-budget blockbusters. For me, she truly shines when she plays more intimate roles that allow her to truly shine. “Beautiful Girls“, “Closer” and “Black Swan” are my personal favorites. I’ve always loved and admired Portman and she still continues to impress. Just the other day, her fiance and her pledged their support for gay marriage. I’d love to know what your favorite Natalie Portman film is. Either cast your vote below or post a comment.
