Does this woman ever age? At 42-years-old, Naomi Campbell is as stunning as ever. The British beauty posed for a fashion editorial photographed by Thomas Whiteside for ELLE magazine. Along with looking fierce as a giant lamp shade (see pic below), the supermodel dishes about her upcoming reality show on Oxygen. I can’t wait. Fingers crossed it’s everything ANTM fans have been starving for.
“The first time I saw her cry in an elimination I thought, She’s in this,” says Rod Aissa, Oxygen Media’s senior vice president. “The public will see the Naomi that her friends know. That doesn’t come across in a picture, but it does come across on television.”
The premiere of The Face airs on February 12 at 9 pm. Campbell describes it as a combination of America’s Next Top Model and The Voice. Naomi is one of three leggy bombshells in charge of mentoring the contestants. Karolina Kurkova and Coca Rocha are the other two. Speaking of ANTM, Campbell talks about her former nemisis’ reality show. Back in the 90s and early part of 2000s, the two were rivals and that’s putting it nicely. Read her response regarding ANTM and about that infamous cell phone throwing incident below.

“I don’t watch the other reality model shows. I’ll never have anything to say. If you ask me about Tyra Banks, I’m proud of her as a woman of color. She’s given girls opportunity, and God bless her.”

“When I first got Yves Saint Laurent couture, I didn’t know how to take off a cape. I would ask Katoucha and Dalma – the real divas of the runway – ‘Can you show me?’ I’ve never been afraid to ask for help… I care for my girls [on the show]. Every single one of them. I’m not here to put anyone down.”

“I’m never gonna get away from it. It’s part of my history. I was remorseful and regretful. I’ve served. I did that time. And I never want to be in that position again.”

Are you going to sample The Face? Will it kick ANTM’s butt out the water? Do you think it’ll producer a supermodel? For more info and images, head over to www.elle.com.

wow .. never been a fan of her but that photos say everything
i’m crossing fingers for The Face, i’ve watched each and every single one of ANTM, Britain’s, Canada’s, Australia’s, Mexico’s, Brazil’s and now Asia.. ok Im a top model junkie heheheh
and Tyra is the one who screw the American version so she kinda deserves it. The idea was good but she always made the worst of the format by manipulating everything
And I know a lot of people who thinks that way. We want to see good photoshots, we want to see the fashion but we don’t want the cheap drama and the moral lessons. Well, maybe we do want the drama. But for moral there was granny, bye Tyrant!

I’m sure it’s gonna be better than America’sNTM, I’ve watched Australia’s Next Top Model and I have to say that aussies are the best, so that’s gonna be my reference, I hope that The Face is as good or better than AusNTM and they can get good ratings, americans are kind of “tired” of the NTM format.

She’s a crazy coked up monster and this piece is nothing more than her PR team putting a spin on her to make her seem human to garner ratings.
I’d rather watch Ice Road Truckers than anything she’s involved with.

Yup, totally going to watch. I hate ANTM. The was good, then Tyra took it over with her “zany” bullshit, plus they were playing into the reality show bit with stupid photo shoots and challenges. They revamped it, and it got a LOT better, but it went back down fast.
I don’t really care about Naomi’s past. Why judge a show based on that? If it’s good I’ll watch, if it’s not, nice try.

I stopped watching ATNM years ago because Tyra is annoying as hell. I don’t really have an opinion of Naomi other than she’s stunning and she has scary, violent diva rep.
