I’ve always been very particular with my hair from the cut to the colour and have undergone many different coiffures throughout the years. Having gone to about 5 different hairstylists…I finally found the one I am most happy with. I’ve never walked out of the salon hating my hair. I’ve known Charles for a number of years before he become a hairstylist. I ran into him downtown Vancouver several years ago where he was presently living and told me that he now cuts hair. So he graciously offered me a complimentary haircut and I’ve never looked back or gone to anyone since. Charles knows exactly what my vision is for a hairstyle and makes it come to life through his excellent technique. He engages each client through conversation and builds a great personal relationship with them. He’s pretty cute too (back off gurls he’s engaged to a lovely girl) & straight (I know right? A straight hairdresser). You know how your hair comes to the in-between stage where you don’t really need a full on haircut but could use a cleanup on the side and edges? Well, Charles offers complimentary cleanups for every haircut. This tides you over and carries you through til the next haircut.
Charles has cut several of the Homorazzi casts and our friends hair including Kevin & Saleem.
You can find Charles at the StyleLAB in Yaletown.

the inbetween hair stage is the best part and very few hair stylists could cut it to that point. im glad you found your guy if he could do that!

is he asian? asian hair texture is a whole another ball game and even asians themselves often times mess it up. my hair has to be cut down to the science and the worst part is always finding the right person (ie go test a new person each time) when you are in another city/town ! :o

He’s white but he’s been cutting my hair for years now so he’s very familiar with its texture. I did go through several hairstylist in the past that had no idea how to work with my hair. Although it’s not very coarse it’s very straight.
