You’re Invited: My Big Gay Wedding 2

Definitely check this out (Saturday June 12th)! Marriage can be mayhem and it doesn’t get crazier than this. Once again director / producer David C. Jones (OUTtv) is gathering an eclectic assortment of actors, musicians and LGBT icons to create a memorable dinner theatre event. Certainly one of a kind!

“There is one day of rehearsal with a script I write and then we just let loose with a crazy show that involves the whole audience.” Said Jones. “Last year we had renegade bands, an indoor pool fight, a nerdy stripper and a battle royale between Miss California and Liza Minnelli!”

The show is unpredictable and hilarious but it also weaves in important social issues concerning Canadians. This year the theme is on queer immigrants and refugees. Sounds like it will be a hoot!

Last year two handsome men got married in the show so this year turnabout is fair play. Dianna David plays the pretty but innocent Jasmine and Amy Wilding is Jen a woman with a secret.

Playing various characters and family members intermingling with the guests will be some of the gang from The Bobbers including: Derek Bedry, Jamie Crest, Dan Dumsha, Derek Kemle, Julia Stretch, Lee Ann Keple. Bill Taylor, Michele Tolosa, Alan Pavlokovic, Pearce Visser and Kevin L. Smith as The Wedding Planner.

They are joined by actors: Mikal Grant (used to be my acting teacher!!!), Seth Little and Dane B. McFadhen.

Also appearing (in unexpected ways): Terry Costa (creator of Gay Top Model), Jim Deva, Carlotta Gurl, The Chickabooms, Fatima Jaffer, House of Venus, Vancouver Sisters of the Abbey of the Long Cedar Canoes, Sugarbeach, Rags to Radio, English Bay Swim Club and the Rt. Hon. Hedy Fry MP.

Music by DJ Drew and special choreography by Jason Franco.
