Having lived in Vancouver for over 12 years… I feel like the city has ran out of things to offer me. So I decided to pick up and move to Toronto this Spring. New job, new city, new apartment and a new lease in life is just what the doctor ordered to relight that fire for life!
It will also be great because I will be able to cover the east coast activities for Homorazzi and fill you guys in with not just what’s happening with me but also what’s happening around town.
Here is a compilation of questions I’ve been asked in order of what was usually asked first:
1. What are you going to do with your place here? Are you gonna sell? (Umm is that really important? Is it even your business? LOL)
No, I am not selling my place here. I am having it rented out by a Property Management company. The last thing I really wanna worry about is my place here. I have so many other things to plan before I go. So having them manage it will be a load off my chest.
2. Are you buying a place in Toronto?
No, I will rent for the first year or so and decide then if I wanna buy a new place there.
3. What about your dog?
Of course I am taking him with me. There is no chance in hell I am leaving my baby. I would miss him too much.
4. Why are you moving?
I really just need a change of pace. Vancouver is beautiful but a tad bit too slow. I feel like I’m living in a resort town.
5. Do you have a job in Toronto?
Yes, I will be working for a design agency.
6. What area do you want to live in Toronto?
I’m looking in the Yonge & Bloor area closer to Yorkville so I have the option to walk to work.
I will keep you guys updated as I get settled into my new city. I’m so excited and can’t wait for the change. New chapter!

Thanks Airec! I’m really excited to also be able to cover Homorazzi from an east coast point of view.
Don’t be sad… I will still write about my experience specially being a transplant in a totally new city.

Boooooo hisssssssss! Leaving Van City for the east coast!
Oh yeah, wait a minute… I’m on the east coast too. At least Spring has arrived and you missed one hell of a Winter. Congrats, hope you have fun, and I hope you like Toronto!

@J Yeah I think Winter was just all around nasty even here in the “Wet” Coast. We had a great weekend but today is really shitty and wet.
I’ve visited Toronto enough and like it. Funny how every Vancouverite will tell me “Toronto is very cold” I actually don’t mind cold, it’s the wet I hate paired with the gray gloomy skies, I won’t be missing that at all getting it 8 months out of the year. LOL

Your arriving in Toronto just in time for patio season. This city comes to life in the summer with amazing patio’s, a great gay beach, and more cultural festivals than you can imagine.
