Most of the supercuts (aka movie mashups) I’ve seen usually consisted of videos repeating the same line from various movies. This one over here uses the popular “You just don’t get it, do you?” over and over in its video. The one I’m sharing with you today is anything but that. Instead, it’s the most amazing supercut I’ve seen. Set to the tune of Lionel Richie’s classic ballad, “Hello“, the song lyrics are recited using clips from several movies spliced together.
Ranging from Arnold Schwarzenegger (Total Recall) to Bruce Lee (Enter The Dragon), Dutch Vimeo user ant1mat3rie recreated the first verse and chorus using dialogue from these films. Other notable movies featured in the clip include “Planet of the Apes“, “Toy Story 3“, “Gandhi“, “Borat“, “Being John Malkovich“, “Avatar” and “Back To The Future” to name a few. You can’t help but marvel at this guy’s movie editing skills. I thought I was a movie lover, but this guy has nothing on me. Check out the incredible supercut below.
Lionel Richie “Hello” Music Video
Watching the supercut made me nostalgic for Lionel Richie’s slow jam. I’m sure I’m not alone so I embedded it below for those wanting a trip down memory lane. Enjoy.
