After debuting her two new tracks in a live performance earlier this month, Missy Elliott’s comeback songs have officially been released. Her record label posted the audio of both “9th Inning” and “Triple Threat” on its YouTube channel. As expected, long-time collaborator Timbaland appears on the tracks, both of which will appear on Elliott’s upcoming album, Block Party.

Personally, a song featuring Missy farting or sneezing would’ve made me happy. It’s been way too long of a break, IMHO. Thankfully, both her new offerings are solid efforts and should make her fans happy. With Nicki Minaj and Azealia Banks representing the new wave of female MCs, it’s nice to have one of the legends in the genre back in the game.
