Miley Cyrus Sings Google Translated Pop Songs With Jimmy Fallon

It’s always wise to proceed cautiously when using Google Translate. Sometimes the results aren’t the most reliable. That’s especially true when it comes to translating song lyrics. The following clip is a perfect example of that.

During her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Miley Cyrus covered Ed Sheeran’s massive hit, “Shape of You,” but with new lyrics spit out by the online translator. Dusty Springfield’s “Son of a Preacher Man,” Rick James’ “Super Freak” and Marvin Gaye’s “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” were also performed with revised lyrics.

The 24-year-old singer also hit the subway with Fallon to do a little incognito busking. The commuters’ reactions when they realized it was Miley belting out “Jolene” were priceless. Once revealing her true identity, the “Malibu” singer treated them with a performance of “Party In The USA.” Check out both segments below.
