Miley Cyrus’ New Tattoo Causes Twitter Backlash With Fans

On Friday, Miley Cyrus impressed many of her fans when she revealed her newest tattoo via Twitter. The tattoo imprinted on her ring finger is a simple equal sign. The tweet that accompanied the photo: All LOVE is equal. Although Cyrus was trying to be nice and was doing something that she truly believed in, she can’t help but escape the critics that just want to bring her down.

Some of Cyrus’ fans headed to Twitter to publicly attack the artist for her choice of tattoo. One fan cited Bible verses to assist her in her opposition of homosexuality. However, Miley was quick to message back saying, “Where does it say in the Bible to judge others? Oh right. It doesn’t.”GOD is the only judge honey. ‘GOD is love'”
Unfortunately that wasn’t the only source of criticism. It seems that the tattoo has left many of her fans divided on the subject, even arguing with each other..

Cyrus handled the criticism one last time with a final tweet stating, “”Everyone is entitled 2 opinions! ‘if u don’t stand 4 something you’ll fall for anything.’ :)” I think that this was a big and bold move for the southern pop star. And when you think about her fan base, it only makes sense that a few were opposed to the idea of her supporting equal rights. What do you think of Miley’s new tattoo? Following a trend or truly making a bold statement? Sound off below.

  • I’ve never been a fan of her and i’ve probably even made a few jokes directed at her, but doing this has my respect. With her fan base, this is a decision that would have most publicists screaming NO! Bravo!

That is the “ring finger” on her RIGHT hand, NOT the ring finger she would use for her wedding ring….Just to clarify for those that don’t realize this…MORE POWER TO HER!! Not a damn thing wrong with marriage equality, not like to gay people are going to ruin anyone else’s marriages…it just gives them federal rights for insurance and things and also entitles them to care for their loved one when in the hospital. Just like men and woman that are not married, if their significant other is in a coma, his or her family can step in and push aside the fiance…still don’t know why people are having such a bowel movement over equal marriage rights…..
