Dan will not be please about this, but according to a few of her tweets last night, it looks as though we may be seeing the last dance. She’s been a choreographer and guest judge on the show for 5 years, but is ready to move on to something else, as her tweets allude to.
Mia says, “I’m officially an adoring fan of SYTYCD…..Thank you for 5 wonderful yrs.”
The Emmy Award winner has worked with such artists as Madonna, Celine Dion, Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan, and Prince. She also choreographed Cirque du Soleil’s world tour, “Delerium” back in 2005. I don’t think she’s going to have trouble finding work after SYTYCD, not that she had any trouble before. She’s just going to make more now.

In 2010, she’ll be on the big screen playing herself in a movie called “Move,” along with Tyce Diorio, Paula Abdul, Wade Robson, and Nigel Lythgoe.

This would be a loss for the show…. but maybe it would open the door for more Sonya and Stacey numbers.

The only way to save the franchise is for the US to hire Stacey Tookey on full-time! She’s as amazing as Mia, and Canadian!!
