Even though it may not seem like it, Summer is just around the corner and we’re all going to want to get into those shorts we’ve been longing for for the last 8 months. Before you consider wearing the same stuff you did for the last 5 Summers, think again.
Perhaps it is time to update your outdated cargo shorts & numbered tees (circa Abercrombie & Fitch), your capri pants (unless you’re European, there is no reason you should still have this in your wardrobe) & those god awful Timberland sandals. I’m not saying you can’t wear cargo shorts but there is a time and place for everything, sure wear your cargos when you go hiking cause the pockets will be useful to carry snacks and anything else you may need on your hike.
Here are a few things you can grab to update your wardrobe.
1. Light cotton flat-front khaki pants
This is a great alternative to jeans or shorts for casual lunches and get to gethers. Cuff the pants (fold up a couple of times) and wear with your favourite leather lace ups or converse runners & a button up short sleeved shirt or polo tee for a clean crisp look.

2. Soft Pima cotton loose tees & tanks
For a refreshing change, try going for a more relaxed silhouette. Thin fabrics are great for layering specially if you want to wear a particular bright colour but you’re not brave enough to. You can layer a bright yellow tee/tank under a gray one. I know us homos love to wear tight clothing but did you know that relaxed fits can also show off your best assets? Soft loose fabrics fall perfectly on chiseled pecs showing them off in a sexier less slutty manner.

3. Flat-front slim cut cotton shorts (think pants that have been cut off to be shorts)
I don’t know why they cut shorts to be so loose around the bum and thigh area when pants are not cut that way. I’ve taken many pants over the years and cut them into shorts simply because I like the slimmer cut along the thigh and seat area. It gives you a cleaner silhouette without all the extra fabric regular shorts have. Please stay away from elastic waistbands unless they’re gym clothes or beach wear.
