Matt Bomer is a busy boy these days. He’s currently appearing on Will & Grace, starring in Doom Patrol and will no doubt pop up on the next season of American Horror Story. Ryan Murphy loves him some Bomer. I don’t blame him.
The 41-year-old actor just booked his next gig and it’s a homecoming of sorts. Bomer returns to USA Network, where White Collar aired, to star in the third season of The Sinner. He follows in the footsteps of Jessica Biel and Carrie Coon who headlined Seasons 1 and 2 respectively. Bill Pullman, who’s appeared in the first two seasons, will reprise his role of Detective Harry Ambrose again.
Season 3 follows Ambrose as he begins what appears to be a routine investigation of a tragic car accident in upstate New York. He eventually “uncovers a hidden crime that pulls him into the most dangerous and disturbing case of his career,” per the official synopsis.
Bomer will portray “Jamie, an upstanding Dorchester resident and expectant father who looks to Ambrose for support in the wake of an accident.”
Though Biel no longer stars in the series, she will return as executive producer for the third season.
Excited to see Bomer on The Sinner? Haven’t checked out the series, but will now that Matt is starring in it. Weigh in below.
