Speaking on behalf of most of our readers, I’m sure we’re all in agreement that we’d much prefer to see Matt Bomer out of clothes instead of being in them. With a body like that, it’s a shame it’s behind all those suits on White Collar. That said, Bomer is strikingly handsome in his stylish threads. While his drop dead gorgeous looks are unattainable to most of us mere mortals, pretty soon we can have the same wardrobe as him. That’s at least something, right?

“I think it starts with the European stars of the fifties and sixties – Marcello Mastrioanni, Jean Paul Belmondo, Alain Delon – and then Cary Grant of course was a big stylistic influence for Neal, and I love the whole American prep look of the fifties and sixties. Steve McQueen, and Paul Newman, and James Dean.” – Matt Bomer

The 35-year-old actor teamed up with Alton Lane to create a range of suits, shirts and bow ties based on his hit show. Pieces from Bomer’s clothing line will be made exclusively on Gilt.com starting 12am EST on January 22, 2013. A portion of sales will benefit Project A.L.S. Reportedly, the first 500 members will receive a complimentary Alton Lane pocket square designed by Bomer himself. Check out a few promo pictures and pieces below.

“Neal’s look is mostly skinny ties, so we wanted to make sure we found something that was skinny but appropriate for everyone,” Bomer explains. “There are a lot of great pocket square and shirt options to choose from if you want to put your own personal touch on things to reflect your own personality.”
