Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War is expected to do boffo business this weekend at the box office. Industry experts are predicting the latest installment could rake in $498 million worldwide this weekend. To date, only three films have achieved $500 million+ worldwide openings– Fate of the Furious ($542m), Disney’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($529m) and Universal’s Jurassic World ($525m).
No doubt, theaters will be jam-packed this weekend. If you’re wondering if it’s worth battling the crowds, Rotten Tomatoes has unveiled its rating. While it’s not the best reviewed Marvel movie, it’s also not the worst.
Avengers: Infinity War is currently averaging 86 percent on the review aggregation website. When compared to the last three Marvel flicks, the early score is lower than them. Black Panther earned 96 percent while Thor: Ragnorak and Spider-Man: Homecoming both scored 92 percent. On the upside, it’s scoring better than the underwhelming Guardians Of The Galaxy sequel which earned 83 percent.
If you’re curious to know what Avengers: Infinity War is doing on rival site Metacritic, it’s considerably lower. Currently, it stands at an okay 68 out of 100.
