Maroon 5’s new music video was made using only an iPhone and the popular app. Makes sense given the album release included a comprehensive marketing partnership with Snapchat, that included Snapchat Lens-themed album artwork and a custom Snapchat Lens for the single “What Lovers Do,” which was viewed by Snapchatters over 2 billion times.
“We all use Snapchat, and the Filters have become a huge part of the culture,” Adam Levine told Billboard. “We thought it would be funny to take some more straight-ahead band photos and sprinkle in a little fun.”
“Wait” is the second single off the band’s latest album, Red Pill Blues, following the SZA-assisted hit What Lovers Do” which peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100. Check out the music video below which features Levine letting loose with various Snapchat face filters. His wife Behati Prinsloo and their dog make quick cameos.
