Have you watched the “Girls Like You” music video? Most likely so. The viral clip has clocked in over one billion views in only five months. Maroon 5 just dropped a new version of their smash hit and it’s as fun as the first.
The new clip, once again directed by David Dobkin, is more like a re-edited version of the original. It features all the same cast of women but gives the spotlight to those who were barely seen in the first clip. If you wanted more Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige, Behati Prinsloo, Rita Ora or Elizabeth Banks, you’re in luck. They definitely get more screentime this time around.
Why the new clip you ask? Most likely to extend the song’s streak on the Billboard Hot 100. It’s held the No. 1 spot for four consecutive weeks and with this new visual, which will boost up streaming numbers, it stands a good chance of hitting five weeks and beyond. Check it out below.
