Their uber catchy SZA collabo, “What Lovers Do,” is still climbing the charts, but Maroon 5 decided to share another taste off their upcoming sixth studio album, Red Pill Blues. Like everything the Adam Levine band has released so far during this era, their latest includes a featured artist.
Surprisingly, rapper A$AP Rocky was enlisted for the piano-driven ballad, “Whiskey.” Never expected a rap break on a slow jam, but it works for the reflective track which finds Levine and Rocky coping with a lost love. Who hasn’t had a drink of whiskey when trying to mend a broken heart, right?
“What Lovers Do” is still my favorite from their forthcoming LP, but “Whiskey” is better than the previously shared “Help Me Out” featuring Julia Michaels. Give Maroon 5’s new track a listen below.
