Since we’re in the midst of another season of “So You Think You Can Dance“, I thought we’d catch up with one of the more memorable contestants in the show’s history. Season 4′s Mark Kanemura certainly fits that bill and is also one of our favorites, especially Nic *wink*.

Kanemura made it all the way to Top 6 of his season. Even though he didn’t earn the title of “America’s Favorite Dancer“, Mark has carved himself quite a dancing career. He’s danced for Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry, Janet Jackson and most notably Lady Gaga. Not only has he accompanied the Fame Monster on a couple of world tours, but has also appeared in several music videos including “Judas”, “Marry The Night”, “Telephone”, “Born This Way” and “Alejandro” to name a few. If you’re really attentive, you might’ve noticed him in a couple of numbers in “Glee’s” Britney Spears-themed episode.

The reason I decided to write about Kanemura today was due to a recent fashion spread he did for GQ China. The picture editorial, aptly titled “Move”, has the dancer showing off his dance moves for photographer Arnaldo Anaya-Lucca. Mark sizzles in every photo, especially the shower ones, which can be found in the publication’s Spring/Summer 2012 issue. Grant Pearce was responsible for both the styling and creative direction of the spread. Check out the fruits of their labor below.

Were you a fan of Mark during his stint on SYTYCD? Til this day, I still fondly remember his Nappytabs-choreographed lyrical hip hop routine to Leona Lewis’ “Bleeding Love” with Chelsie Hightower. It was sooooooo good. Are you watching this season? Sound off below.
