Marina Debuts Summery Bop ‘Orange Trees’

Marina, who’s ditched the “+ Diamonds” from her stage name, has just shared another track off her forthcoming album, Love + Fear, out on April 26. “Orange Trees” follows “Handmade Heaven” and IMHO a much better track.

With spring now here, summer is just a couple of months away. “Orange Trees,” produced by Jakob Jerlström and OZGO, gets us in the mood with its breezy and cheery vibe. Marina wrote the song about the Greek island her family is from which is her favorite place in the world. It beautifully illustrates a desire to revel in the Earth’s natural wonders. I love Greece, so sign me up.

“Flowers in my hair, I belong by the sea / Where we used to be, sitting by the orange trees / Summer in the air, bodies in the heat / Just you and me, sitting by the orange trees,” the 33-year-old Welsh singer sings.

Even though the Greek Isle inspired her, the accompanying visual directed by Sophie Muller was shot in Mexico. Check out the summery jam below. I’m already hooked.
