With February wrapping up this weekend and new movies coming out starting this Friday, March 1 (my birthday!), I figured it was time to share five of my recommendations for films to check out this March. Of course there are many new films opening in theatres, these are just the five that I’ve narrowed it down to based on my personal preferences combined with the buzz surrounding the films.
Contrary to my five picks for February, there isn’t even one comedy in my list for March as they all fall into at least one of the action / adventure / sci-fi / thriller categories. Two of the films star James Franco – it’s a big year for him.
Check out the trailers for my list of movies to see in March below, along with their release dates, descriptions, and key cast members.

I don’t get trailers these days. Spring Breakers revealed everything about the movie including the twist and the ending. Other than going to watch James Franco overact and see Justin Beiber’s girlfriend get abused – why bother see it? Oh wait – those two scenes are in the clip as well.

Oz, the Host and Olympus Has Fallen will be getting my money to see them in the cinema. The Call will probably download. Have no desire to see Spring Breakers.
