Filmed on a busy Saturday in Manchester’s Gay Village on February 26th, spontaneous bar hoppers were asked to participate in this tribute to Mother Monster herself, Lady Gaga. Lip syncing to her new single Born This Way, the video depicts gays and lesbians of all shapes, sizes, and colors truly capturing the essence of the song and ultimate, Manchester gay nightlife.

None of the participants were arranged before hand and all of the inside club footage was shot at AXM, Churchills, Belinda Scandals, Poptastic, Cruz 101, Via, and New York New York. This project was filmed by Jonathan Robinson and assisted by Mick Evans with editing by Beth Durkin and produced by Bellyflop.tv.

I really like the video. I have to admit when this song first came out I wasn’t a big fan of the song but luckily it has grown on me with her Grammy performance, music video and now, the first of what I’m sure will be many tribute videos, parodies and highlight montages. Homorazzi even has our own montage from our trip to WinterPRIDE using this song. (It totally makes the video).
