Macklemore Steps Out Without Ryan Lewis On New Track ‘Glorious’

Their names have been synonymous with each other for years. Together, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis delivered the massive hits “Thrift Shop” and “Can’t Hold Us.” The former is now stepping out without his longtime collaborator. Though, he’s not doing it completely alone. He’s enlisted a talented female to help him out.

Glorious” features the guest vocals of American singer and songwriter Skylar Grey. The track, about embracing life and fresh starts, is the first single off the 33-year-old rapper’s upcoming album. It’ll be his first solo one in over 12 years. He released his debut LP, The Language of My World, back in 2005.

Honestly, had I not read Lewis wasn’t a part of this, I wouldn’t have known otherwise. “Glorious” sounds in the vein of his collabos with Lewis. Give it a listen below.

Nothing against Ryan Lewis, but how would we know he wasn’t involved if we were not told. What is the difference?
Song is ok, nothing special though.
