If you’re lucky enough to have a grandmother alive, definitely follow in the footsteps of Macklemore. The 34-year-old rapper treats his grandma like a queen for her 100th birthday. The joy on her face as her grandson shows her the town is priceless #thefeels. It’s a shame the elderly get taken for granted.
“Glorious,” featuring Skylar Grey, is the first single off the Seattle rapper’s upcoming album. It’ll be his first solo one in over 12 years. He released his debut LP, The Language of My World, back in 2005. It also marks the first time he’s not working with longtime collaborator, Ryan Lewis.
For the accompanying visual, director Jason Koenig filmed Macklemore and his Grandma Helen having a seriously epic day. They start things off by driving around in a gold Cadillac Eldorado convertible. That’s followed up with a little karaoke and some games at an arcade. True to his brand, they even hit up a little thrift shop. Obviously a nod to his breakout hit.
Check out the adorable clip below. Loved the part where they were shopping for sensible shoes, but Helen wanted a pair of fresh all-white Yeezy Boost 350 Triple White V2 instead. That’s my girl 😉
