Macklemore drops his new album Gemini this Friday, September 22. It’s his first solo LP in over 12 years, following his debut album, The Language of My World, released back in 2005. It also marks the first time he’s not working with longtime collaborator, Ryan Lewis. Ahead of its release, the 34-year-old rapper shares one of the album’s most highly-anticipated tracks.
“Good Old Days” is a collaboration with comeback kid, Kesha. Macklemore raps about his early days, dreaming about stardom and struggles with substance abuse, while Kesha sings about living in the moment on the hook. Surprisingly, it’s a stripped-down affair. Though, I fully expected an uptempo party anthem, I’m loving the dreamy lush single. Give it a listen below.
