I’ve been on a Latin music kick lately, listening to the likes of Maluma, Prince Royce, Becky G, Ricky Martin and Shakira to name a few. One of my favorite tracks of the moment is the global smash “Despacito” from Puerto Rican singer, Luis Fonsi. It’s already topped the Billboard Latin chart and hit No. 1 in Spain, while cracking the Top 10 in several other territories.
With this new bilingual pop remix featuring Justin Bieber, it should propel it even higher on the Billboard Hot 100. As it stands right now at No. 44, it’s the 38-year-old veteran’s biggest mainstream hit to date. How’s that for a comeback from Fonsi?
Never would’ve expected The Biebs to hop on this, but I don’t hate it. He provides both English and Spanish vocals, but surprisingly, when he sings in the latter, it’s not horrendous. It kinda works on the sultry bop. Give it a listen below and weigh in afterward.
