On Wednesday night I had the extreme pleasure of going to the Louis Vuitton Maison store opening party. This makes it the 1st Louis Vuitton Maison store in Canada, the 4th store in North America and the 11th store in the world. Just an FYI to all you fashionistas out there, the cheapest thing in the store is a cool $250 coin purse. The newly renovated 10,000 square foot, two floor Louis Vuitton store located at 730 Burrard was the location of the start of the party. As guests we were treated to tasty h’orderves and constantly flowing champaign as we all awaited to be transported by black SUV to the secret location of the actual party. The new LV store is gorgeous from top to bottom and outfitted with the full ready-to-wear line, designed by Marc Jacobs.
While awaiting for our trip to begin I ran into a few familiar faces in the crowed. Fashion blogger Rebecca Rawlinson, former Homorazzi member Dave, fashion designer extraordinaire Jason Matlo (Who actually dressed a few of the attendees), and Vancouver recording artist Rosette Luve. There was also a few who’s who at the party including Executive Vice President of Louis Vuitton Philippe Schaus, Gabriel Aubry (Halle Berry’s ex) and Trevor and Cristina Linden just to name a few.

So after we were all escorted into the big black SUV Range Rovers we were driven a few blocks down to Terminal Street (by Science World) and led onto one of the old versions of the Rocky Mountaineer trains that goes to Whistler. I began to think that that might be where we were headed since no one knew, but we then just trained a bit down the way and stopped outside a big warehouse looking building with Louis Vuitton luggage all over the train platform. What they had done was recreate old style Paris in Vancouver to give us a truly unique experience.
As we walked into the building we were greeted with more champagne and music. The layout was fantastic with old style champagne glasses and Louis Vuitton luggage laying about and made to look old and rustic. It was all simply stunning and elegant. There was a short speech made and then guest performer Composer Gustavo Santaolalla serenaded us with a few musical tunes. After that is was all fun and drinks as the DJ came on and people laughed the night away. Rumor was the party cost Louis Vuitton around $1MILLION to throw and my goodness was it amazing and glamorous. I now leave you with a few photos from the night.

Its like you learn my thoughts! You seem to understand so much about this, like you wrote the e-book in it or something. I believe that you just can do with a few percent to force the message house a little bit, however other than that, this is great blog. A great read. I will definitely be back.
