Little Mix kicked off their new era where it all began- on The X Factor stage. The girl quartet returned home to perform the first single off their forthcoming fourth studio album, Glory Days. And as the title of this post states, it’s a sassy breakup anthem about a certain ex-boyfriend.
“Shout Out to My Ex” was created by the same team behind the girls’ world smash “Black Magic.” The girls also assisted with writing the lyrics and it certainly shows. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out Perrie Edwards had a heavy hand. With lyrics like, “Took four long years to call it quits,” she’s not exactly being subtle that she’s referring to her ex Zayn Malik. Taylor Swift would be proud 😉
If I was Perrie, I’d be upset at him too. Who breaks up with their fiance via text? Tacky, tacky, tacky!!! Check out the girl group’s latest single below. If you like G.R.L.’s “Ugly Heart,” it’s sounds somewhat similar to that, but a bit more festive. This should do quite well for Little Mix.
