Much like what Sia did for This Is Acting, Linda Perry is recycling previously rejected material for a new album. Unlike the Aussie singer though, Perry isn’t singing the tracks, instead letting the intended original artist remain on vocals.
The former 4 Non Blondes singer looked through her archives to curate a compilation album that will serve as the soundtrack to the documentary, Served Like A Girl. The film highlights the contributions and struggles of female war veterans. Proceeds from the LP will benefit the female veteran-focused charity Final Salute.
Among the heavy hitters featured on the album include Pink, Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani. Perry previously penned the hits “Get the Party Started,” “Beautiful” and “What You Waiting For?” respectively for them. Check out the full list of contributors below, along with the trailer for Served Like A Girl.
