Despite having huge marquee names in the film, the Les Miserables producers decided to feature Isabelle Allen instead for the first poster (above) released a few weeks ago. Personally, I loved it because it paid homage to the artwork used for the long-running Broadway production. The image was breathtaking and really amped my anticipation for the movie adaption to new levels. With these newly-released character posters, I’m officially into overdrive and can’t wait for the December 25th release.
Hugh Jackman (Jean Valjean), Russell Crowe (Javert), Anne Hathaway (Fantine) and Amanda Seyfried (Cosette) each grace their very own poster. The new artwork really shows off the fantastic ensemble that director Tom Hooper has assembled. The film also stars Samantha Barks, Sascha Baron Cohen, Eddie Redmayne and Helena Bonham Carter. I full expect Universal will release posters of the other cast members in the coming weeks. In the meantime, check out Jackman, Crowe, Hathaway and Seyfried as their characters below.

Frankly, Anne Hathaway’s poster looked like it belonged better in Twilight than Les Miserables.

Sincerly, I am mostly displeased to see another classic French book reduced to a crappy Hollywood movie once again (Robin Pattinson as Bel-AMi, WTF ?). And this one looks like no exceptions … Sorry Victor Hugo, everybody seems to have forgotten you …
