Leona Lewis is throwing some shade Rihanna and DJ/Producer Calvin Harris’ way. In a recent chat with the Daily Star, Leona claims that she had recorded the single, We Found Love with Harris first before he apparently replaced her with Rihanna.
“I worked with Calvin and we recorded We Found Love. But he went touring with Rihanna and she ended up releasing it. I didn’t commit to it because I wanted Trouble to be my [next] single so I think that was another reason they went with Rihanna.” She continues, “It was the same version and production but mine’s better.” Oh really…
According to the article, Leona still has the tapes. Should we have a battle?
Leona tells the Daily Star that she’ll never leak the track online. “That’s so unprofessional,” she says. “It was a bit annoying to see how big a hit it was around the world but if I’d released it maybe it wouldn’t have done as well.” To that, I completely agree with Leona. Rihanna is a worldwide superstar and Leona is still a little bit of a back pocket artist. Harris was starting to gain mass appeal with his tracks but his collaboration with Rihanna really put him on the map and made him this year’s it-producer. It’s hard to judge without hearing both tracks. Regardless of whether or not Leona will leak the track, I hope somebody eventually does.

I’ve heard from some people in the UK that the Daily Star is a tabloid and not something that can really be trusted. With that being said, if Leona’s WFL does exist, I would LOVE to hear it.
