With exception to a statement released by her people, Lea Michele has kept quiet since Cory Monteith’s death. Last week, an interview with Marie Claire Mexico surfaced where she discussed her relationship with her Glee co-star and real-life boyfriend, but that was conducted prior to the tragedy. The 26-year-old actress has finally broken her silence.

Earlier today, two and a half weeks since his death, Michele shared a picture of the two of them on Twitter. I could be wrong, but it looks like it was taken on the ferry from Vancouver to Victoria, BC. Along with the photo, she tweeted the following.

“Thank you all for helping me through this time with your enormous love & support. Cory will forever be in my heart” – Lea Michele

Recently, Ryan Murphy revealed that Glee would address Monteith’s death on the third episode of the upcoming season. He also said he was willing to pull the plug on the FOX musical show had Michele not wanted to continue. As he stated, Lea is the heart of the show. Ever the consummate professional, she knew the show must go on.

Do you think Glee should go on without Cory? Is Lea the heart of the show? Will you tune in to the tribute episode? Sound off below.
