I’m obsessed, like seriously obsessed with this. I’ve already watched it a dozen times.
Tom Ford taps Lady Gaga to star in his fashion film showcasing his Spring/Summer 2016 collection. Mother Monster sashays down an illuminated runway alongside models including Lida Fox, Alex Dunstan, Xaio Wen Ju, David Agbodji, Mica Arga to name a few.
It’s only fitting Gaga covers Chic’s “I Want Your Love” for the Soul Train-inspired line. Ford explains why he chose to present his latest collection this way instead of going the traditional Fashion Week route.
“Instead of having a traditional show this season, I decided to try something new,” Tom told WWD. “I wanted to think about how to present a collection in a cinematic way that was designed from its inception to be presented online.”
Fingers crossed Gaga’s cover is a sign that disco plays a big part on her next album, because it suits her perfectly. Check out the sensational Nick Knight-directed presentation below. On a side note, I want every piece each male model is wearing in my wardrobe.
