The wait is finally over. Lady Gaga’s long-awaited video for her Beyonce collaboration, “Telephone”, premieres Thursday March 11 at 11:30pm on E! News. Immediately after the premiere, Gaga herself, will dissect the inspiration for her masterpiece to Ryan Seacrest. The nine-minute visual extravaganza will feature two of pop’s MEGASTARS giving it ALL they’ve got for their fans. If you miss E! News, you can catch it’s internet premiere later that evening at midnight when it debuts online on VEVO.com and LadyGaga.com.
Famed director, Jonas Akerlund once again helmed the video shoot and took responsibility of translating Gaga’s vision into reality. According to the “Fame Monster”, the video for “Telephone” will pick up where “Paparazzi” left off, but will surpass its predecessor. Even without this claim, I have no doubt, the music video will be EPIC, complete with Gaga’s unique dance moves, signature costume design and inter-galactic hairstyle- especially when you throw a dash of Beyonce into the mix. The two shared an electric on-screen chemistry for Beyonce’s “Videophone” music vid and will undoubtedly bring forth the same energy for this collaboration. Fierceness will be served left and right, top and bottom, for sure.
As Tommy D wrote in an earlier post, “Telephone” is destined to be an even bigger hit than “Bad Romance”. Too bad for Britney she passed it up. The Gaga-penned track was originally intended for the pop princess, but never came to fruition. The track about receiving endless calls and unwanted text messages while trying to party on the dance floor seemed like a perfect fit for Brit. Oh well, her loss is Lady Gaga’s and our gain.
Beyonce serving it with her Bettie Page inspired hair while sporting a bejeweled jacket and matching shoes. Am I lame that I got even more excited for the music video after seeing this pic?
Where does Gaga come up with this shizz? Seriously… aluminum cans in your hair… PURE GENIUS. My only question is… are they Coke or Pepsi cans?
You can’t tell from the scaled down version of this picture but, her sunglasses are fabricated from cigarettes. This whole outfit is a Project Runway innovation challenge stunner for sure.
