If you loved Lady Gaga’s first fashion film, “The Nymph“, then you’ll be happy to know the 25-year-old singer just released the next installment. Titled “The Bride“, the two and a half minute clip is the second one of the five-part series. Like the first video, Dutch photographers Inez and Vinoodh directed it. In an interview with MTV, Inez dished the 411 regarding the fashion series.
“What’s incredible in there is that this is Gaga, as herself in the character that she is, related to the ‘You and I’ video, and it’s purely her,” she went on. “You can tell, especially in the one that came out now, she’s so happy and she’s loving her life and she’s really, you can tell, she’s reaching her full potential. It’s a complete being.”
“She asked us to make these videos as a bridge between fashion and rock and roll, and since both are kind of equally important for her as an inspiration and starting point. So, she really said to us, ‘Do your thing, what you would do in fashion context,’ let’s say, but relate it to the characters that she is in the ‘You and I’ video.”
While the first one solely featured Lady Gaga, the second one shows off a couple of her little monsters. She begins the video dressed in black clothing, consisting of a wide-brimmed hat and robotic-inspired features. The bionic chin and arm pieces look very similar to the ones she wore in the official “You and I” music video. Personally, I like the first installment of her fashion films more than this one. Check out both of them below and decide for yourself.
