Gaga’s album “Born This Way” only came out a year ago but already, the shocking pop artist is ready to shock our earbuds once again with a new album. With Mother Monster busy touring overseas, she’s been out of sight, out of mind and for me, I am very grateful. I think she became a little overexposed for a while there and very annoying in my opinion. With a new album on the way, will Gaga continue on a path of crazy and shock value, or will she return to her more pop roots. I hope so.
A week ago, Gaga posted a photo on Instagram of her with a new tattoo that reads, “ARTPOP.” Immediately, rumors swirled that this was the title of her fourth studio album. On Twitter yesterday, Gaga confirmed the news: ”Make sure when writing about my new album/project ARTPOP that you CAPITALIZE the title, its all in the details.”
According to Idolator, ARTPOP is expected to drop “before spring” 2013, with the first single due before the end of this year. One of the possible tracks on the LP could be “Princess Die”, a suicide-themed song inspired by the late Princess of Wales that Gaga premiered live back in June during her Born This Way Ball tour stop in Australia. Check out the photo started all the rumors below.

What do you think of Gaga’s new album title? What do you think her inspiration was? Andy Warhol perhaps? Sound off with your thoughts below.

Myself and many of my friends were feelin’ gaga-d out music wise. Her guest spot on Simpson’s was refreshing though, as it’s pretty cool to see such a huge personality who can make fun of themselves.
As much as she loves attention, I’m glad she uses her influence to promote positive things. She was definitely a huge part of the movement these last few years to repeal DADT, grow support for gay marriage, and of course her charity work to help women get easier access to sex ed and contraceptives. Haven’t always loved her music! But I like what she does with her success.

I had falling out w/ Lady Gaga. Used to be a fan but she suddenly became, like you said, annoying. I hope she does return to her roots.

The amount of time and money she dedicates to promoting and furthering LGBT rights alone makes me like and respect her more than most artists out there.
