Julianne Hough did it. Mark Ballas did it. Now, Lacey Schwimmer is the latest “Dancing With The Stars” professional taking a stab at a recording career. Can a Maksim Chmerkovskiy debut single be far behind? I envision a modern-day Right Said Fred “I’m Too Sexy” sorta thing. That would be hilarballs.
Schwimmer’s debut “Love Soundz” won’t be available on iTunes until June 21st, but she gave her fans a first listen on RyanSeacrest.com yesterday. She told Seacrest that “singing has been her other musical passion since she was a kid” and extremely ecstatic that “she’s getting a chance to do both.” The uptempo dance was produced and written by The Monsters & The Strangerz.
So how’s her first foray into music? It’s not the best nor worst thing I’ve heard. The hook is relatively catchy, but the lyrics are a little to “paint by numbers“. It’s like Lacey picked her favorite ten words, and then a machine filled in the rest. That being said, Schwimmer isn’t that bad of a singer if you like that Britney Spears’ type of vocal.
What did you think? Is Lacey better sticking with the quickstep than hitting those notes? Post your thoughts below.

She should keep her day time job, dancing. Auto-tune, trying to sound like Britney? Those lyrics for her lst single? Ugh!! Why is she copying someone else instead of bringing her own voice, making her own identity?
