Watch out Rihanna, Jay-Z has a new prized pony in his stable. The Aussie pop legend just signed with Roc Nation’s artist management division. Her addition comes off the heels of Timbaland also being added to the rooster. Jay-Z’s management division currently represents Rihanna, Santigold, The Ting Tings, Melanie Fiona, Shakira and Solange Knowles to name a few. Is this the key to Kylie Minogue finally achieving North American superstar status? I think it might. It’s definitely the right direction for Miss Minogue.
“In a career now spanning 25 years, Kylie has released 11 studio albums, two live CDs, eight live concert DVDs, a greatest hits double album, and multiple video packages. She has released over 50 hit singles worldwide, including the Grammy-winning Come Into My World, and has sold more than 68 million albums worldwide. Needless to say, we’re excited to have Kylie join the Roc fam.” – Roc Nation
While scoring numerous hit singles in the UK and her native Australia, the 44-year-old has only two Top 10 hits to her credit to land on Billboard’s Hot 100- “Locomotion” (#3) and “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” (#7). Kylie is certainly a well-known entity and much beloved icon in gay households, but hasn’t quite achieved the same status with mainstream radio in North America. With a rumored new album on the way, I firmly believe Roc Nation will give Kylie’s new offering the promotion it deserves.
What do you think of Kylie’s decision to sign with Roc Nation? Do you think their artist management division can propel her career in the US? Sound off below.

She is kinda too old to be a superstar for the industries. She might have some hit songs but she will fade away soon.

I am excited for her! I don’t think she’ll be number one on the Billboard but the U.S. will definitely get to know her talent!

This is a ridiculous waste of time. Yes Kylie is an icon in other countries but she is not and never will be an icon here in the US. They are basically going to have to promote her as a new artist and who is gonna care about a forty-something year old new female singer? She may get a hit even but she will not sell albums. She hasn’t made it in the US for a reason bc she has tried before. This is like Madonna trying to make it today in a country that doesnt know her. Pointless. Kylie should be proud that she has been so successful. Who cares about making it in America? It didnt happen and thats okay. Its not like she flopped everywhere. Its only gonna hurt her legacy if she flops here again.
