If you thought Kylie Minogue would tone things down because she dabbled with country music, you’d sadly be mistaken. The 49-year-old stays true to her signature style. Her music video for her country folk-inspired dance anthem, “Dancing,” is a glittery and bejeweled affair.
The Aussie singer kicks off the Sophie Muller-directed visual strumming her guitar alone in a hotel room. Within seconds, she’s transported to London’s historic Bush Hall music venue where she gets her line dancing on while rocking sparkly Western attire. Girlfriend looks like she’s having the time of her life. Her carefree euphoric vibe is infectious.
“Dancing” is the lead cut off the 49-year-old’s upcoming 14th studio album Golden out April 6. It’s her first album since Kylie Christmas released in 2015. Not counting that festive offering, her previous set featuring new material was Kiss Me Once back in 2014. That album spawned “Into the Blue,” “Sexercize” and “I Was Gonna Cancel.”
Check out the fun “Dancing” clip below. I can’t wait to see what else Minogue has in store for her fans during this Golden era.
