Kylie Jenner Is Officially The Youngest Self-Made Billionaire Ever

Back in July 2018, Forbes predicted Kylie Jenner would surpass Mark Zuckerberg as the youngest self-made billionaire ever. The Facebook co-founder was 23 at the time he crossed the benchmark.

It’s now official. The reality star and business mogul is the youngest billionaire in the world. Her fortune is driven by Kylie Cosmetics which has an overall valuation of $900 million which Forbes calls a conservative estimation. Her bank account is also padded by her numerous sponsored posts, Kendall + Kylie clothing line, adidas partnership and her Keeping Up With The Kardashians paycheck.

Is she really self-made though? The 21-year-old responds to critics, saying Kris and Bruce Jenner cut her off at 15-years-old. “My parents told me I needed to make my own money, it’s time to learn how to save and spend your own money, stuff like that,” she said. “What I’m trying to say is I did have a platform, but none of my money is inherited.”

the platform is an inheritance, a tv show and family name boosted/influenced all of her businesses. Not getting an allowance is completely different from being cut off. Kanye West is still her brother-in-law and Kim is still her sister, so what in her career was earned solely by her and not from her family. It’s not self-made if all the networking, income, and connections are already in place.
