Olympic Countdown Hottie of the Day: Kyle Nissen

This Canadian hottie started on skis when he was only 3 years old. When Kyle was 8, he was lucky enough to get to carry the Olympic torch in the relay, considering it was right in his home town of Calgary in 1988. The next year, when Kyle was 9, he started freestyle skating. Almost 20 years later, he’s still doing it and from holding the Olympic torch when he was 9, to competing in his second Winter Olympic games here in Vancouver after competing in Torino, Kyle’s dreams keep coming true.

Here are some of his stats:

Event: Freestyle skiing
Age: 30
Hometown: Calgary
Achievements: 5th place, 2006 Olympic Games in Torino
Competing On: February 22, 2010

Kyle is dead set on Gold, given the opportunity of having Canada host the Olympics once again, and him being a part of it:

Competing for Canada at those Games has been the highlight of my career and a truly amazing experience. Now to have Canada hosting the Games once again, there is nothing else on my mind other than winning gold for Canada at the Games in Vancouver in 2010. An opportunity like this only comes along once in a lifetime, and I intend to do everything in my power to be on that podium.

Grrr, the Olympic flame isn’t the only thing that’s hot around here…
