Remember Kriss Kross? They were those two adorable kids who wore their clothes backwards and released the catchy “Jump.”. Nothing transports you back to the early 90s more than that classic track. “Jump” topped the US charts for a whopping eight weeks back in 1992.
The pre-teen rap duo were discovered at age 12 and 13 at a shopping mall by prolific producer Jermaine Dupri. Fans will be happy to know that Daddy Mac (Chris Smith) and Mac Daddy (Chris Kelly) are reuniting for one night only. They’ll take part of a concert celebrating So So Def Records’ 20th anniversary in Atlanta. Looks like I’m heading to the ATL in the near future 😉
Kriss Kross will join other So So Def alums including Xscape, Bow Wow, Jagged Edge and Miss rat tat tat Da Brat at the Fox Theater in Atlanta on February 23. I wonder if the original Xscape lineup will be on hand. I’d love to see Real Housewives of Atlanta Kandi Burruss back with her former group. Man, I used to love me some Xscape slow jams. I really need to figure out a way to snag myself a ticket to this concert. It’s going to be an off the hook old school party. Check out what Kriss Kross looks like today all grown up below.
