Kendrick Lamar & SZA Team Up On ‘All The Stars’ For ‘Black Panther’

Jay-Z did it for The Great Gatsby. Lorde did the same for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. Now it’s Kendrick Lamar’s turn to work his magic. The 30-year-old “Humble” rapper received the call to curate the soundtrack for Black Panther.

Marvel is no stranger when it comes to making some coin off a soundtrack. Both Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 did boffo business with the latter becoming the top-selling vinyl of 2017. However, commissioning original songs is a first for the studio. Director Ryan Coogler reached out to Lamar personally for the project.

“Marvel Studios’ Black Panther is amazing, from its cast to its director. The magnitude of this film showcases a great marriage of art and culture. I’m truly honored to contribute my knowledge of producing sound and writing music alongside Ryan and Marvel’s vision.” – Kendrick Lamar

If the rest of the soundtrack is anything like the lead cut, expect big things. “All The Stars” features Lamar and the sensational SZA. Personally, I think it’s fantastic but I’m biased since I adore SZA. Girl is fiyah!!!. Check out their collabo below.
