Kelly Clarkson sure is milking her Greatest Hits: Chapter One compilation to death, isn’t she? Most artists release one single and promote it only for a couple of months. But not for Kelly. God, love her.
Released in November 2013, the 31-year-old singer finally released the music video for the third and final original track from the album. I’m surprised it took her this long to film a visual for the awesome track, “People Like Us.” It’s one of her most high-concept vids to date. No cheesy flash mob here à la “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You).”
Directed by Marrs Piliero (Britney Spears “I Wanna Go” and The Wanted “I Found You“), the clip has Clarkson as some sort of scientist or something medical-related. She, along with her colleagues, analyze a young girl “in color.” See, the thing is everyone including Kelly is in black and white… or is she? Turns out Clarkson is just like the girl and also as colorful underneath her monochromatic makeup. Kelly rescues her and gets involved in a high speed car chase. See how it all ends in the clip below.
What do you think of the video? Doesn’t Kelly look fantastic? Sound off below.
