Earlier this week, Katy Perry notched her 9th career chart-topper. After a slight misstep with “Unconditionally,” the 29-year-old bounced back with “Dark Horse.” To be fair, “Unconditionally” did peak at No. 14 which is respectable and a number most artists would die for. Truthfully, I’m surprised the track didn’t fare better considering its gorgeous visual. Meanwhile, “Dark Horse” still doesn’t have an official video but managed to reach pole position on the Billboard Hot 100. Go figure.

Perry is now tied at 10th place with Elton John, the Bee Gees, Paul McCartney and Usher on the all-time list. Just ahead of her are Janet Jackson and Stevie Wonder (10), Whitney Houston (11), Madonna and The Supremes (12), Michael Jackson and Rihanna (13), Mariah Carey (18) and The Beatles with a whopping 20 No. 1 hits.

I thought it was the perfect time to look back at her career and rank all her chart toppers. For me, “Teenage Dream” is by far her best. Like leaps and bounds. No matter what version, remix or cover by another artist, the track is a winner. I never thought, Perry could release a more irritating single than “E.T.,” but she has. While clearly millions have warmed up to “Roar,” I still find it utterly irritating even after all this time. Not surprisingly, it’s my least favorite track by Katy. Check out how all her other hits rank.
