Netflix first teased its upcoming pot comedy with a short teaser, appropriately released on April 20 (420). The streaming service just released the full trailer for Disjointed and it looks pretty funny. I didn’t expect anything less since Kathy Bates signed on.
Disjointed is a workplace comedy from Big Bang Theory producer Chuck Lorre and Daily Show head writer David Javerbaum. The 69-year-old Bates plays Ruth, a lifelong advocate for legalization who is finally living her dream as the owner of an Los Angeles cannabis dispensary, Ruth’s Alternative Caring. Joining her are three charismatic “budtenders” including her entrepreneurial twenty-something year old son who aspires to become the Wal-Mart of cannabis. In addition to the Academy Award winner, the series stars Tone Bell, Aaron Moten, Elizabeth Alderfer, Dougie Baldwin and Elizabeth Ho.
All 20 episodes of the comedy’s first season arrive on Netflix August 25. If there was a perfect series to smoke a joint to, it’s definitely Disjointed. The drug trip segments featured on the show will be even more eventful 😉 Watch trailer below.
